Live entertainment giant Live Nation is now making a major, direct play for creators, backing a new venture designed to help digital talent scale into full-fledged media empires.
The company is funding Creator Nation, a new firm tasked with providing strategic support across content, commerce, brand partnerships and live events, alongside acquiring and expanding existing management agencies.
This is one of many many moves we've seen across traditional media: the creator economy matures beyond social media clips into multi-platform businesses, and corporate giants are eager to secure a stake in digital-first talent.
Algorithms vs real-world IP
Creator Nation will be helmed by industry veterans Alexis and Scott Fisher. Alexis previously founded Timeline Management, which Live Nation acquired in 2024, while Scott founded Select Management Group, which was acquired by Propagate. Between them, the pair have helped launch major creator-led brands such as Mindy McKnight’s Hairitage and Sarah Cheung’s Sacheu.
The new venture aims to provide the operational infrastructure that many boutique creator management agencies lack, allowing managers and talent to focus on long-term enterprise building rather than relying purely on platform algorithms.
"We think the whole idea of renting attention will go away," explained Scott Fisher in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "When you’re relying on the algorithm to keep your business moving, you really need to be able to build something that stands apart from that. It’s giving creators the tools and services they need to turn passive viewers into fans who show up, buy products, and actually support them."
For Live Nation, the investment is a new opportunity to capture the next generation of touring acts and live IP.
Live Nation President and CEO Michael Rapino noted that creators are increasingly building careers that mirror broader entertainment businesses.
"Creators have built some of the biggest audiences in entertainment. We help turn that attention into fans and businesses that last," Alexis Fisher wrote on Instagram.
"We build and invest in brand partnerships, talent management, content, commerce, live experiences, and digital marketing."
What type of talent will Creator Nation target?
Creator Nation plans to target a broad cross-section of digital talent. While the firm expects to partner with top-tier creators from YouTube's top 500, it is also eyeing high-earning niche creators, such as micro-influencers and regional entrepreneurs generating millions through strong affiliate businesses.
As traditional media companies continue to grapple with shifting audience habits, Live Nation’s backing of Creator Nation signals that mainstream entertainment no longer views creators as a passing digital trend, but as an indispensable pillar of the broader media landscape.
