Winning in the Answer Era

AI is not killing advertising, it’s changing its job, says David Yovanno.

AI’s Here, But What’s the Framework For Making Sense of Its Mess?

You’ve seen the traffic drop, lost the journey visibility, and you’re wondering where AI citation leaves you. We’re bringing together the people who are probing for answers and building out the solutions.

AI Visibility, is that a thing?

Adtraction’s Simon Gustafson asks what AI visibility is worth, and to whom.

Influencer Marketing Has an Infrastructure Problem

Influencer marketing doesn’t need another tool solving one part of the problem. It needs a connected operating layer that brings intelligence, activation and commerce into one scalable commercial channel.

Industry Insight

Stay at the top of your game

Although I sound like a broken record, PI LIVE is next week (!!!) and it’s an event that’s all about bringing people together and sharing knowledge to tackle challenges. So, in the spirit of sharing, this week, we’ve got an insight from Nicky Senyard, who says: stop keeping affiliates in the dark about what’s working in other channels.

While Nicky notes that this attitude can be rooted in real concerns, whether that’s proprietary data or channels competing for budget, customers don’t think in channels.

“They might discover you through one, research you through another and convert through a third.”

Good attribution is important for understanding how those touch points work together, Nicky says.

Nicky notes that the same goes for messaging and audience insights.

“If something is resonating in paid search, social or email, why wouldn’t you want your affiliate partners learning from it too?”

Underpinning this is that more shared insight means better optimisation, better partners and better customers.

At PI LIVE, across Old Billingsgate, The Steel Yard and The Partner’s Arms, we’re underscoring the importance of connected thinking, approaches and technologies.

Coming up this week, we’ve got an interview with Sol Wilkinson, our Conference Producer and architect of this event, who’ll be delving into everything from industry blind spots to how to take on the mammoth topic and challenge of AI. Stay tuned.

🔊 APMA Voice of the Nation Surveys 🔊

The APMA is back at it again this year, with its annual Voice of the Nation surveys. They’re all about getting to grips with how the industry feels about the channel.

The APMA is collecting insights from affiliates, advertisers and agencies and you don’t need to be a member to participate.

The surveys contain around 25 questions, and nothing is compulsory. This year, included in the surveys are questions across AI, attribution and measurement, tracking, compliance, payments, investment and the changing role of different partners within the channel.

As the Association says: “The more responses we receive, the more complete the picture.”
