AI’s Here, But What’s the Framework For Making Sense of Its Mess?

You’ve seen the traffic drop, lost the journey visibility, and you’re wondering where AI citation leaves you. We’re bringing together the people who are probing for answers and building out the solutions.

AI’s Here, But What’s the Framework For Making Sense of Its Mess?

You’ve got questions; we’re helping you find the answers. This Autumn, at the AIP Summit, we’re breaking down the ecosystem’s structural weakness, the true price of being cited, and how AI can be used as a tool rather than a source of existential chaos.

The game has changed

In just a short time, these technologies have uprooted the infrastructure underpinning the industry, and it’s no secret that the impacts are already being felt.

Back in Spring, the APMA released data from an AI survey of 67 publishers in Spring 2026, which showed that 42% said their Google organic search traffic had declined. A significant percentage of those polled also linked AI search with financial implications: 46% shared that AI search had "already negatively affected" traffic or earnings.

So what is the industry doing about it?

What’s the real value in AI visibility?

We’re bringing in the AI experts to work out whether partnerships could become the infrastructure that pays for the content that fuels the AI platforms. The tech, the standards and the feasibility — or shall we say, willingness — of those AI platforms to get on board: we’re getting stuck in. This one’s a must for anyone with concerns about the future of the open web, or the snake eating its own tail.

We’ll dig into this further in a session on AI visibility metrics: what’s vanity and what’s value? Plus, we’ll be hearing from the people using AI to power partnership programmes, who will provide the comprehensive list of AI tools and workflow changes that actually deliver value across everything from recruitment to incrementality.

And if you’re a brand wondering how to tap into B2B and retail-media partnerships, we’re bringing together some of the experts in the space to unpack how AI can facilitate a smoother process — from matching to proof of value, as well as providing insight into how AI can help you track Q4 performance in real time and enable smarter mid-peak decisions.

The tools for the next chapter

Speaking of AI tools — our BuildLab winner will also be revealed. Last month, Tradedoubler, Awin, Impact.com, Optimise, Everflow, Adtraction, and Bravo Savings Network took on the challenge of creating an AI solution to give the industry back its time.

The tools they built in just eight short hours were staggering, from a free commission calculator and a Tracking Integrator MCP to a tool for automated compliance checks and instant link detection.

One team architected a solution to find tracking problems and instruct on fixes; while another provides publishers with one verified, up-to-date profile to share core information with different networks through APIs. There’s also a solution that transforms partnership discovery into a ten-second experiment, and an all-in-one media sales platform.

Have your say on who takes home the BuildLab Community Choice 2026 award here. Which of these builds would have the best practical application in your day-to-day work and give you your time back?
