A joint venture created by Hello Partner and Affiverse, a leading performance marketing agency, AMLeaders is a series of workshops that will offer expert-led training for affiliate marketing excellence.

Providing attendees with the chance to equip, educate, and empower themselves to ensure they remain at the cutting edge of affiliate marketing, AMLeaders is specifically designed to shape future leaders and spark success within affiliate marketing.

In the last 15 years, PI LIVE has established itself as a platform for highlighting groundbreaking innovation in performance and partnership marketing through our esteemed agendas. Now, in collaboration with Affiverse, we take pride in our commitment to nurturing the upcoming leaders within the space as we equip affiliate managers with the essential resources to enhance their performance with AMLeaders, as well as offer a valuable occasion for forging new connections and establishing meaningful relationships with fellow industry professionals and potential collaborators.

The event will consist of four workshops developed to enhance multiple parts of your affiliate marketing tool belt. Lee-Ann Johnstone, Founder of Affiverse, will be guiding and curating these sessions, drawing on her years of expertise and success in the industry.

We sat down with the founders of AMLeaders, Lee-Ann Johnstone, and Matthew Wood, Founder of Hello Partner, to find out everything you need to know in preparation for the upcoming event, and why you should secure your ticket.

How did this collaboration come about?

Matthew Wood: Our companies both have the same vision. We want to bring people together, we want to connect people, and we want to aid learning and retain talent within the space. That's one of the most important things.

We have an army of hungry account managers and people at the beginning of their careers. But equally, we have a lot of people nearing the end of their career, who’ve been in the industry for quite some time. We want to share that knowledge and experience and hopefully keep that talent within the industry.

Lee-Ann Johnstone: I can't think of a better person to partner up with to actually bring AMLeaders to life, because the next generation of digital marketers are really learning everything on the job, just like we did 20 years ago, and the problem is, is that history does repeat itself.

When we get a little bit older, and a lot of us are exiting the industry and starting our own businesses, a lot of that practical account management knowledge gets lost because we take it with us. So the whole point of AMLeaders is to bring people who have been there and done it through multiple different segments of the industry, specifically focusing on performance and affiliate marketing, into a room with people who are coming into the industry. They can have that face-to-face, one-to-one time and ask questions that are relevant to their own programmes.

Could you give a summary of AMLeaders in a couple of sentences?

Lee-Ann Johnstone: It's practical, tactical workshops. It's about taking theory and making it realistic for your own programme. So it's great that everybody's saying you need to work with content creators as part of the partnership economy, but how do you actually do that?

AMLeaders is the show and tell, and that's why we're bringing experts in that are willing to actually share their knowledge right down to the kind of nuts and bolts of how they would do it if they were running that programme. This event presents the one-to-one time that isn't available yet in our industry. It provides that all-important face-to-face time when you're just starting out in your career.

Matthew Wood: It’s also a smaller event, so you can ask questions that you might feel nervous about asking to a big audience of 500 people on the stage. There are challenges that brands have whether it's the transparency around sub-networks, for example, or fraud within the industry or programmes, and where you are getting traffic from and how to understand how much value it's giving to your brand. I think you can talk about these issues in a smaller group a lot more comfortably than out in the bigger picture.

Lee-Ann Johnstone: And you can also boost your network because you've actually met people that are in the same situation as you, and you can leverage ideas between each other. It's almost like fostering a community of people that are continuously wanting to learn and develop their careers.

The internet is a big wide place, and affiliate marketing is all over it, but that doesn't necessarily mean that everything that you read is accurate and true. The base of knowledge is really with all of us, the people who have been doing it for the past ten to 20 years.

Could you run us through some of these workshop sessions and how they can be useful for affiliate marketers?

Lee-Ann Johnstone: Nobody wants to sit in a room all day and get spoken to, so it's going to be very interactive. There are going to be so many teaching sessions where you're going to have to take notes and actually think about how you apply the concepts that are being taught into your own programme.

There's also going to be workshops where you're going to be interacting with each other, and you're going to be interacting with the experts that we're bringing in. The aim of this day is to get you the knowledge that you need or provide you with a plan that you can deliver when you leave. That, I think, is what's important here.

How can people get involved in AMLeaders?

Lee-Ann Johnstone: They just need to book their ticket, really. So get on the PI LIVE website, book your ticket, and come and join us. It's as simple as that. We want to see as many new faces in the room as possible and everybody's welcome, it doesn't matter what level you're at.

Matthew Wood: It's the day before PI LIVE Europe, so it's the perfect timing if you're coming into the UK from abroad or coming from another city. It's a good five-hour chunk and we're also doing some networking drinks and that's almost equally as valuable.

Join us at AMLeaders, the essential event for affiliate marketers aiming to elevate their skills, access profound industry insights, and cultivate vital connections that pave the way for success. More workshop details and a lineup of speakers will be unveiled shortly.
