AI is the word on everyone’s lips. From tracking and attribution to automation and fraud prevention, the industry is abuzz with concerns, questions and challenges. We’ve sat in on the panel sessions and debated at the roundtables, but how do you turn discourse into action?
This September, PI LIVE BuildLab is where we stop talking and start building.
Turning talk into tools
We’re bringing together up to ten teams for one day to devise a solution that delivers real value and impact for the industry, with launch partners Awin, Impact.com and Tradedoubler, part of the NYORDA Group.
“Everyone is talking about AI, but the real value comes when we move from discussion to practical application,” commented NYORDA Group CTO Victoria Normark.
Revealing the challenge 24 hours before build day, invited teams will work remotely from their offices. We invite you to let your imaginations run wild, but there’s just one rule: whatever tool you create will be free and ungated for the entire partnership industry, forever.
“PI LIVE BuildLab is a great initiative because it challenges teams to create something genuinely useful for the industry, not just talk about what might be possible. We’re excited to be involved and to contribute to a project!” added Normark.
The prototypes will be reviewed by an independent panel, who will ask how useful the build is and how well it works, while also assessing the creativity funnelled into the challenge.
The affiliate and partnerships community will then vote on the winner, who will be revealed live on stage at PI LIVE Europe - Festival of Partnerships in October.
“Innovation and entrepreneurship have been the building blocks of the partnerships industry from day one. Constant evolution has always underlined the success of partner marketing - from mobile and social content to the rise of AI. This is why impact.com is delighted to be supporting the first-ever edition of PI Live Build Lab,” said Anthony Clements, UK Country Manager at Impact.com, speaking on the launch.
An inflexion point
Clements, who recently forecast the imminent demise of traditional audience acquisition, added that the initiative is an opportunity for companies of “all sizes” to test their ideas and solutions against the industry’s best.
Meanwhile, Adam Ross, CEO of Awin, called the initiative a “rare opportunity” to turn the industry’s instinct for adaptation and innovation into something tangible that the whole industry can utilise.
“We're at an inflexion point right now; AI, retail media, creator commerce - the convergence happening demands that we stop just talking about change and start building for it. That's exactly what PI LIVE BuildLab is doing, and it's why Awin is proud to be part of this from the very beginning,” said Ross.
