Over the last few months, we’ve reported on a number of research reports that have shown AI use is on the rise in the path to purchase.
During this time, some have suggested that AI is more trusted than social feeds; others that the tools are bad at finding discounts; industry commentators have claimed that AI’s real role is in recommendation, while other research has forecast that by 2031, the number of agentic commerce users could rise to 1.3bn.
Now, a new report on holiday shopping from performance marketing agency PartnerCentric says that while 43% purchased a product recommended by an AI chatbot in the last three months, creator trust and reviews are still key to translating AI visibility into holiday conversions.
