What We Learnt From UK Black Pride’s Authentic Partnerships With NYX and TikTok

UK Black Pride provided some great examples of how brands can achieve authentic activism.

What We Learnt From UK Black Pride’s Authentic Partnerships With NYX and TikTok

UK Black Pride took place in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park over the weekend, partnering with NYX Professional Makeup and TikTok for this year’s event, which celebrates people of colour in the queer community.

“We challenge brands to put equity at the heart of their approach to activations.”

Celebrating its 18th year, UK Black Pride shared in a Campaign interview how it’s incredibly selective with the brands it works with, due to its large influence over the community; a staggering 25,000 attendees took part in the celebrations last year.

A lesson for brands: ‘Walk the talk’

Over the past year, NYX Professional Makeup has partnered with UK Black Pride and the LGBTQIA+ charity, Stonewall, to create an authentic campaign that celebrates a diverse range of creators within the community.
