Towards the end of the first day at PI LIVE Europe 2023, I was grateful to be joined on the Rokt Pyramid Stage by a fantastic panel of affiliate experts and an enthusiastic crowd – despite the afternoon’s lure of flowing prosecco and more networking drinks.
We were gathered to shine a light on a side of affiliate marketing that is not talked about much; a darker side, a dangerous underbelly.
Affiliate fraud is as rampant an issue as ever, despite increased regulations, awareness, and technology solutions. It comes in a few forms and can be tricky to spot, yet ends up costing brands large portions of revenue all the same.
