Everyone remembers where they were last summer when American Eagle launched their Great Jeans campaign with Sydney Sweeney, because it was the talk of the internet.

Developed in-house, the ad received a lot of backlash upon its release. People labelled it tone-deaf and missing the mark with its target audience of women. 

Sweeney initially spoke out in defence of the campaign, but after serious hate directed her way online, she eventually apologised for any connotations it carried. 

Now, American Eagle has returned with the Euphoria star for a brand new campaign, which would be difficult to find controversy with.
