Instagram to bring back the chronological feed
According to head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, earlier this month the app started testing two new feed settings, including the return of the chronological feed option. After facing criticism since the app removed the chronological feed feature, replacing it with an algorithmically sorted feed, users who have noticed the new feed options are pleased that they will no longer miss the posts of family, friends, and their favourite creators.
The second feed option allows users to add their own list of ‘favourites’ which will allow users to see a feed of posts just from a select group of accounts - Adam Mosseri says he uses this to ensure he stays up to date with posts from family and friends.
As these new features continue to roll out, creators should no longer be subject to slipping through the algorithmic net.
