The Labour Party won a landslide victory in the UK’s 2024 general election. After 14 years of a Conservative government, many are looking to establish the changes Labour will enact, and how that can affect the partnership marketing industry, from affiliate to creator to performance.
Labour already understands the importance of influencer marketing. A large part of their campaign strategy consisted of using micro-influencers to endorse the party, with one campaigner telling The Guardian, “It’s more about finding authentic people who talk about an issue and can deliver a good message.” But what does the industry think about the new government, and most importantly, can they enact change?
