New data suggests that Google’s Search Generative Experience (SGE) will be “devastating” for e-commerce sites. 

The findings were shared in a post by Malte Landwehr, Head of SEO at idealo. Landwehr compiled the data after researching seven large-scale studies of Google’s SGE.

According to his summary, SGE will significantly damage the ranking of e-commerce sites, while elevating publishers.

However, many questions remain about such a future.
