Shopee, one of the leading e-commerce platforms in Southeast Asia and Brazil, has announced a new partnership with Meta.

The collaboration aims to make it easier for people to discover and buy products through Facebook, introducing tools that integrate affiliate marketing and livestream shopping directly with Shopee’s platform.

The collaboration enables creators, brands, and sellers to connect Facebook communities with Shopee’s product range and checkout.

“Shopee is committed to strengthening our ecosystem and improving the e-commerce experience,” said Peggy Zhu, Head of Brand and Growth Marketing at Shopee. “Through this partnership with Meta, we’re helping brands, sellers, and creators expand their reach while creating new opportunities for affiliates to thrive.”

At the centre of the launch is Facebook Affiliate Partnerships, a new dashboard allowing creators to link their Facebook and affiliate accounts.

Creators can curate and tag Shopee affiliate products directly in Facebook posts and Reels, with users able to purchase via Shopee. Shopee is Meta’s first partner for this initiative, paving the way for creator-led shopping across both platforms.

Affiliates will also benefit from Shopee’s incentive programs, including higher commissions, free product samples, and exclusive vouchers. Shopee continues to nurture its creator ecosystem through bootcamps and events designed to help affiliates grow their influence and revenue.

The move builds on Shopee’s strong 2024 performance, which saw affiliates produce over 100 million pieces of content across Shopee Live and Shopee Video – triple the previous year.

“By integrating social content via affiliate marketing and livestreams, we’re creating opportunities for people to discover and act on their interests within their social experience,” said Damian Kim, APAC Director of Monetization at Meta.

The tools are now live across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Brazil.
