RetailMeNot is the newest browser extension to be hit with a class action lawsuit by creators.

Tight on the heels of similar lawsuits against PayPal Honey and Capital One Shopping, RetailMeNot has been accused of stealing creator commissions by manipulating the last-click attribution model.

What the lawsuit puts forth

The plaintiffs, two YouTubers known as TechSource and ToastyBros, have compiled a 26-page lawsuit against RetailMeNot, alleging similar misconduct to that claimed in the suits against Honey and Capital One.

The creators state that RetailMeNot “manipulates” affiliate cookies by “deleting (creators’) unique information and injecting source code with RetailMeNot’s information, thus diverting commissions to itself.”
