Awin has now joined Rakuten Advertising and impact.com in clarifying its stance on publisher compliance, following fresh allegations against PayPal’s Honey browser extension.

In a statement shared with Hello Partner, Awin states that a formal investigation into Honey confirmed “breaches of (their) publisher policies.”

It continues: “Honey has confirmed they regret the impact this situation has had and agreed that  they will work with us to remediate that impact while supporting us in raising standards. They have implemented initial updates to address the identified behaviour, and the investigation remains  ongoing.”

Upon discovery of these breaches, Awin suspended Honey’s payments and access to new advertiser programmes. It says that these measures currently remain in place.
