Reddit has surpassed X (formerly Twitter) to become the fifth most popular social media platform in the UK, according to Ofcom’s latest report. The watchdog revealed that Reddit attracted 22.9 million UK visitors in May 2024, edging past X’s 22.1 million. This marks a 47% year-on-year growth for Reddit, making it the fastest-growing large social platform in the UK.
The rise has pushed Reddit above both X and LinkedIn, while YouTube now leads the UK social media rankings, having surpassed Facebook with over 44 million visitors.
