Hello Partner’s three days in the Magic City have come to an end. Having hosted PI LIVE Advanced and the Influencer Marketing Show in New York as boutique events in 2022, this year we upped the ante in the States by welcoming over 600 attendees to network, learn, and drive business results in the coastal metropolis of Miami.
With spirits high thanks to the previous night's US Partnership Awards, day two of the conference saw the Influencer Marketing Show take over the Matterkind stage, with a content track engaging the creator economy running in parallel with the Rakuten stage sessions.
With world-class speakers from global brands such as Mattel and YouTube and agency partners including impact.com and Mavrck, the versatile sessions covered everything from influencers' place in the social commerce sphere, to how you can adapt your partnership strategy to excel during uncertain times.
We will be taking a deeper dive into the session learnings, chatting with some of the show's expert speakers over the coming weeks, and sharing the nitty gritty with you on the Hello Partner site.
You can look forward to learning more about…
On the IMS Takeover stage, Global Head of Creator Community, Youtube Shorts, Tiffany Matloob hosted a solo session titled ‘Unlocking The Power of The Creator Community’. As well as complementing Hello Partner’s US Top 30 list social media marketing (thanks, Tiffany!) she spoke at length about YouTube’s ‘Creator House’.
She explained how the exciting new virtual platform exclusive to creators offers a plethora of opportunities for community building. The platform is totally customisable for different creators spanning different verticals, opening up an innovative space for similar creators to learn from one another and progress their social content careers.
Lyle Stevens, CEO and Co-Founder at Mavrck, spoke during the IMS takeover about influencer marketing strategies for uncertain times. We will be chatting with Stevens in the coming weeks to learn about the key takeaways from the session.
Session highlights from our chair
Stephanie Harris, Founder and CEO at PartnerCentric chaired the Rakuten Stage during day two of the event. In between facilitating panel discussions, Harris put pen to paper, taking notes as she listened to speakers' insights.
The Only Way Is Up: Meet the Leaders Taking the Affiliate Marketing Industry to New Heights with Next-Generation Tactics
During this session, Harris was particularly interested in the conversations surrounding tracking. Conversations focussed heavily on the first touchpoint of the consumer journey, and how brands and marketers can be better educated on top-of-funnel activity to see results at the bottom.
A Problem Shared is a Problem Halved: Why Data Sharing is the Future
Transparency was at the heart of this solo session hosted by CEO of FMTC, Brook Schaaf. Schaaf shared how we as an industry need to work on building a transparent culture to benefit all parties in the partnerships sphere.
One of Harris’ key takeaways is that for true transparency to increase, merchants will have to put more pressure putting pressure onto platforms, and for platforms will have to innovate! Of course, it’s not time to start sharing information that violates privacy rules, but more about understanding the whole marketing journey.
The Next Era of Digital Disruption…and How Marketing Is the Cornerstone
Moving away from the overarching theme of incrementality and transparency, Harris described this solo session hosted by Tameka Bazile, Social Strategist, Web3, at TIME Magazine as “extremely fascinating”. For marketers who feel in the dark about the metaverse and other Web3 activations, Bazile educated the audience on the power of Gen Alpha.
Younger generations are living their lives online and despite millennials' potential lack of understanding surrounding the power of Web3, it’s time to shape your marketing plans around the generations shaping the future…
A huge thank you to those who attended, and of course to our event partners who enabled this spectacular show to succeed!
