Brands are ramping up their investment in AI-generated creator content, but new research suggests audiences might be getting fed up with the results.

According to a new report from creator-first agency Billion Dollar Boy, nearly four in five marketers (79%) have upped their spend on AI-powered influencer content in the last year. That’s pushed 87% of creators to use generative AI more in their content, too.

But while the industry gets excited about what AI can do, consumers seem to be cooling off. Just 26% of people say they now prefer AI-generated content over human-made posts, which is a big drop from 60% back in 2023.
