We're just one week away from CreatorFest, the festival dedicated to celebrating the creator economy! There's so much to look forward to, from fireside chats to keynotes, but today we want to spotlight one feature: The Voicebox. Located in The Vault, this informal space is where the industry gathers to discuss important topics that often go overlooked.
Each 45-minute session offers a space for members of the creator and influencer community to engage in thoughtful conversations with a smaller, more intimate audience.
If you’ve attended events like PI LIVE Europe or the Influencer Marketing Show, you might already be familiar with The Voicebox. Its sessions have been hugely successful and are always a hit with attendees. This year, we have an exciting lineup of speakers and even an Open Mic session. Keep reading to find out what's in store!
What’s in Store at The Voicebox
9:30 - 10:15: Post-Paralympic Inclusion: How is the Way We Engage Disabled Audiences Going to Change from Now On?
We’ll be kicking the day off with Purple Goat, a disability-led marketing agency. They’ll be discussing the effect of the Paris 2024 Paralympics, and what we can take forward into 2025 and beyond. What did we learn? What are brands doing better? How do we think about inclusion authentically into the future? This session offers valuable insights and an opportunity to ask questions about advancing inclusivity in brand campaigns.
10:30 - 11:15: Safeguarding Mental Health in the Online Space
As content creation grows in popularity, so do the mental health challenges faced by creators. This panel will explore the importance of mental well-being for creators, focusing on how they can protect their mental health while engaging with audiences. From dealing with negativity to maintaining a work-life balance, we’ll discuss practical tips for setting boundaries and ensuring a healthy relationship with content creation. Featuring insights from Rachel Henderson of Samaritans, along with creators Tatty Lomas and Warwick.
11:30 - 12:15: Navigating Cause-Led Campaigns for Non-Profits and Creators
Led by Good Roots, this panel explores the intersection of social impact and influencer marketing. We’ll discuss how non-profits and creators can collaborate to drive meaningful change, with consumers increasingly looking to align with brands and influencers that share their values. We’ll share successful case studies, challenges, and best practices for building impactful partnerships between creators and non-profit organisations.
14:30 - 15:15: How to Engage LGBTQ+ Audiences Authentically
Brands that celebrate Pride and LGBTQ+ inclusion risk backlash, not just from hate groups but also from the LGBTQ+ community itself. This has put off several businesses in the past couple of years from taking a public stance. This panel, led by agency Out Loud, explores how brands can authentically work with LGBTQ+ creators and remain consistent in their allyship rather than just in Pride Month, and this would include how brands collaborate with diverse influencers today.
15:30 - 16:15: Open Mic Session
The grand finale of our Voicebox! Reflect on the day’s conversations and discuss what they mean for the future. The Open Mic session invites participants to step up and share their thoughts, opinions, and even frustrations about the creator economy and influencer marketing. We want to spark productive conversations that drive change. Whether you’re voicing a concern or celebrating a success, this is your opportunity to start a fresh dialogue on the topics important to you.
