In a significant move towards recognising and rewarding the creative talent behind TikTok's viral filters and effects, the social media giant is overhauling its Creator Fund. 

The fund, initially announced in May, has allocated a substantial $6 million to compensate those responsible for crafting the platform's popular filters, aesthetic enhancements, and mini-games.

This revamped initiative, known as the Effect Creator Rewards programme, presents a new set of eligibility criteria and a modified payment structure to benefit even more creators. TikTok recently revealed in a blog post that these changes aim to foster creativity, inclusivity, and expansion.
