Stay at the top of your game
Agnė Žukauskaitė, Founder of Affilitique, shared a great reminder this week: when performance suddenly nosedives, be vigilant in your checks.
Her team saw a top-ranking brand in a paid listicle drop from a 10%+ CR to under 3%. Tech, tracking, and landing pages were all clean, yet the numbers were tanking.
They uncovered bot traffic coming from a region the affiliate didn’t even operate in, pulling down conversion rates just enough to knock the brand off the top spot.
When something looks 'off,' go to the click report. Sudden traffic from unfamiliar locations, odd spikes, or behaviour that doesn’t match user patterns can signal competitive interference.
Listicles are high-stakes. Treat unexpected drops as a data investigation, not an internal fault.
