Last week, representatives from seven affiliate networks and several leading publishers gathered in London for a panel discussion on affiliate tracking and user consent.
Hosted by Moonpull, the session saw impact.com, Awin, and CJ take the stage to discuss this issue together with Moonpull’s CEO Steven Brown.
Representing each network were James Bennie, Vice President of Customer Success at impact.com; Paul Stewart, Group Strategic Partnership Director at Awin; and Lizzy Mackay, Director of Partner Solutions at CJ.
Millions in revenue are going down the drain
Attendees shared some alarming statistics about how this problem is impacting revenue.
Stewart shared a story about an advertiser who made a “radical” switch towards consent, causing a 70% conversion drop for partners. Once identified, this issue was swiftly sorted out, but Stewart emphasised how “these decisions can have that kind of impact overnight.”
