Microsoft has announced that it will pay publishers when their content appears in Copilot Daily, a new feature of its AI-powered assistant.

Copilot Daily, launched alongside other updates, will offer users spoken summaries of current events, weather, and more. Major publishers like Reuters, Axel Springer, Hearst Magazines, USA Today Network, and The Financial Times are already on board, though Microsoft has yet to reveal exactly how these publishers will be compensated.

The company has indicated that Copilot Daily will only pull from authorised content sources and is planning to roll the feature out in new territories, with more publishers expected to join over time.
