In a bid to invigorate its presence and attract a wider audience, TikTok is introducing a novel rewards app named Coin App internally, while dubbed TikTok Lite to the public.

According to The Information, this strategic move aims to reinvigorate growth, particularly among individuals aged 18 and above. 

Considering Gen Z continues to remain TikTok’s majority audience – making up 44.7% of the user base and dominating the platform – the introduction of Coin App looks to expand its user base with a wider array of age groups.
