Let’s throw ourselves back to 14 years ago. At PI LIVE London in October, a panel of affiliate marketing experts sat down to unpack some important learnings from the 2008 recession, and how we can apply them to the pending economic crisis.
With the post-covid boom ebbing away and the economy slowing, all signs do seem to point towards another recession. Many in the industry experienced this in the financial crisis of 2007–2008 and can describe how the industry survived and what developments endured.
General Manager at NetRev, Ben Helyar, sat on the PI LIVE panel alongside Teresa Grammatke from eAccountable, Thomas Vosper from aisle 3, and Regina Fischedick from Refersion, and I was able to grab him afterwards to continue the conversation to learn more about what’s next for the recession-era affiliate marketing industry.
