Instagram has just launched a new Guides feature that lets creators curate content in a single location and provides a new way for users to discover curated recommendations on the platform.
In light of the global pandemic, the first Guides will focus on wellness content.
Guides can be found in a separate tab on the profile of creators and organisations, and are a curation of Instagram posts and videos with advice, recommendations, and tips, all in one place. Photos, galleries and videos included in Guides can come from the user’s own profile or can be sourced via other creators on Instagram. Users can tap on the content in the Guide links to be directed to the original post. You can also share Guides to Stories or in Direct.
Some of the first Guides include the likes of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention called “Mental Health and COVID-19.” Over the next few days, Instagram said Guides will be accessible via the Explore tab.
