APMA Seeks to Tame Subnetwork Wild West with Code of Conduct

The APMA has published a proposed Code of Conduct for subnetworks, with a specific focus on transparency.

Director Kevin Edwards shared that by focusing on best practice, the APMA hopes brands will vote with their marketing budgets and spend it on good quality partners, which should compel bad actors to “clean up their acts.”

The Association is now seeking feedback on the Code, with plans to launch in Q2 2026, and a public record of the organisations that commit to it.

Stay at the top of your game

This week, we’re sharing some words of wisdom from Maya Raichoora, Co-Founder of Remap, on unlocking your potential — and it’s all about letting go of the habits that are holding you back.

“It’s taken me 20+ years to realise that the things I thought would make me perform at my best actually held me back,” shares Maya.

In a world of hustle culture with an always-on mentality, Maya notes that while she once thought more hours meant more results, in reality, strategic hours and deep focus is the approach which garners real results.

It’s also about balance.

Maya shares that sacrificing relationships is not part of the recipe for success; in fact, they sustain performance, while recovery, reflection, and downtime are actually “performance multipliers.”

And while many of us have felt the pressure to always appear confident and in control, Maya says that vulnerability and reaching out for help can accelerate growth, while sharing honestly about struggles doesn’t destroy respect, it helps to build it.

At the same time, while external validation can be helpful, it’s important that this is not the only indicator that you’re performing well, creating internal benchmarks and pausing for self-reflection is key.

“Success is about the process, growth, sustainability, and the person I’m becoming - not just the finish line.”

And, if you liked this, there'll be more actionable strategies shared by Maya at the PMA’s exclusive Shortlist Networking Brunch.

Maya will be diving into the power of the ‘champion’s mindset’ alongside a guided visualisation session and much more! Attendees will be announced this Thursday, so keep your eyes peeled 👀.
