What's hot on Hello Partner right now

Is Amazon Leading the Next Wave of Creator Economy Innovation?
Last week, Amazon announced that they would be partnering with, and investing in, Spotter, a firm that provides services and software to digital creators. The partnership would grant access for Spotter’s creator roster to more business opportunities with Amazon, such as deals with Prime Video, Twitch, and retail. The partnership signals what the near future of the creator economy might look like, as creators seek to expand their revenue streams. Read more of our thoughts above.

Join the Conversation on LinkedIn - The creator economy is changing the music industry

As I wrote about when covering Amazon’s latest partnership, the creator economy is infiltrating into a variety of what once were mainstream, gatekept industries, and pushing the boundaries on what those industries can look like.

Mali, co-founder of Korda, an “all-in-one music business toolkit”, touched on this on LinkedIn, specifically in regards to the music industry. He wrote, “We’re witnessing the explosive growth of the music creator economy - a vibrant ecosystem driven by people, passion, and, most importantly, music itself.”

Adding that there is “a fundamental change in how music is made, shared, and consumed.”

Many new artists have indeed been able to break into the industry through platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, and listeners are seeking out new music on these platforms too. So what does the future of the music industry begin to look like? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
