Stay at the top of your game
Simon Delaney, CEO of Databowl, shared this on LinkedIn, highlighting the urgent need to tackle click fraud in affiliate marketing.
In 2024 alone, click fraud has cost $100 billion, with projections to reach $180 billion by 2028. Fraud is especially problematic in lead generation, where CPL deals carry low risk but can cause pain when leads don’t convert.
Here’s how to fix it:
- Demand transparency on traffic sources.
- Implement verification and fraud detection.
- Track where your traffic originates.
- Define what success looks like.
- Provide feedback to identify the best and worst leads.
Without solving this, you’re wasting money, not scaling.
