Manchester-based beauty and wellness brand group, The Hut Group, has announced it is creating more than 500 new job roles across manufacturing and distribution in response to a surge in demand for its health, beauty and nutrition products across its world-leading brands, including Myprotein.com and Lookfantastic.com.
The Group has also witnessed record demand for its technology and operating platform, where the company takes brands direct to consumers over the internet for Nestle, P&G, Walgreens, Nintendo and more. As a result, the jobs originally planned to be created later this year have been bought forward.
Those in the North West that have already been made redundant due to the COVID-19 outbreak in recent weeks are being encouraged to apply. Most of the new jobs will be in its manufacturing and fulfilment centre in Cheshire, with the rest spread across its sites in Wroclaw, Poland and Kentucky, USA.
Matthew Moulding, founder and chief executive officer of THG, commented: “Some of the region’s biggest employers have had to make incredibly tough decisions in recent days, leaving a worrying number of people out of work at such a vulnerable time. Our message to those affected is that we will look to do whatever we can to help, and so we are bringing forward our recruitment plans. We are now hiring across our manufacturing and logistics sites with immediate effect. We need you and would be thrilled to provide you with a new opportunity at this incredibly challenging time.”
The group will continue to advertise more new jobs in the coming weeks should demand continue to increase for the beauty and wellness products. The jobs can be viewed here.
