Happy Tuesday! We're roaring into Q4 now, everything seems fine, all ready to go, and then Google drops a new core update. Suddenly, everything is on fire, affiliates are screaming obscenities at their screens, and nothing works.
Just kidding, of course, it will (hopefully) not be that bad. But we are curious if you've noticed any immediate changes since its arrival. Or is it still all looking good en route to the holidays? Reply to this email and let us know!
On with the news.
Meeting. Meeting. Meeting... Oh, another meeting.
Meetings are a huge part of affiliate and performance marketing. As everyone says, it's a people-driven industry and partnerships rely on communication.
Instead of trying to manage all of this yourself – "I can do Tuesday - how's that for you? No, ok. Thursday? Nope, not for me... Ummm." – Consider letting Calendar.com take a lot of the work off your hands.
This is an excellent tool that allows you to send a schedule to whoever so that they can book in meetings themselves, amongst other things. Check out their sign-up options here.

Tip of the Week
Stay at the top of your game
This week’s top tip takes inspiration from Brandon Wenerd, Publisher and Partner at BroBible.com, who discusses the pitfalls of advertisers switching affiliate networks without notifying their publishers. Advertisers might not think this is a big deal, but it’s a significant issue for publishers. When an affiliate network changes without warning, it can result in broken links, lost revenue, and a hit to SEO, all of which can harm the publisher's site integrity and user trust.
To avoid these negative outcomes, advertisers should keep their publishing partners informed about network changes and aim to work together on the new platform to ensure content and links remain functional. Publishers, on their part, should maintain communication with the brand, and if they notice a switch, alert the advertiser. If the advertiser isn’t responsive, it’s helpful to notify the new network if possible. Free content is not how affiliate works. It’s a partnership, and mutual transparency is key to maintaining successful collaborations.
